Thomson receives 2007 Emerging Artist Award

The Durham Arts Council has awarded project director Carol Thomson an Emerging Artist Award grant for Bridging Rails to Trails. The cash award will be applied to editing video and audio portions of the project.

The Durham Arts Council Emerging Artists Program is designed to enable individual artists, who have mastered the basic techniques of their art, to complete projects that will establish or enhance their professional careers. The award honors artists in Chatham, Durham, Granville, Orange, and Person Counties.

Thomson and the other winners will be honored at an Awards Ceremony on Friday, January 12, 2007 at the Durham Arts Council in Durham, North Carolina.

Southern Documentary Fund accepts BRTT

The Southern Documentary Fund has accepted Bridging Rails to Trails for fiscal sponsorship. The Southern Documentary Fund is a non-profit organization with 501(c)(3) status and is entitled to receive tax-exempt contributions from individuals and granting sources which require non-profit status.

Contributions for Bridging Rails to Trails may be made payable to The Southern Documentary Fund with Bridging Rails to Trails in the memo field and mailed to:
